Many molecular biologists, like Dr. Christina Sanchez, from the Complutense University in Madrid, Spain, have been challenged to study the anti-tumor effects in tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the main psychoactive ingredient in cannabis.

Her findings have given information that describes the real effects of the THC on eliminating the cancer cells. The most important part here is that it doesn’t have any side effects towards the healthy cells.

In addition, to this study the British scientist, Was Liu, an oncologist at the University of London’s St. George’s medical school showed how THC includes ‘potent anti-cancer activity,’ and stops the cancer cells to grow. Liu confirmed that cannabis does the exact same thing as the drugs from the pharmacies that are produced with spending of billions.

In the video below, Dr.Sanchez uses the opportunity to explain how THC eliminates cancer cells. She is focused on explaining stimulation of the body’s cannabinoid receptors that create endocannabinoids. The advantage of cannabis is that it can effectively do this without any psychoactive symptoms.

All that happens at an important time when some states are going through legalization processes for medical marijuana, and the others are being pressured to downgrade cannabis as an illegal drug. Here are also some patents of cannabis, such as Patent No. 6,630,507, which is for cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants.

However, all in all, many states are still against cannabis even while owning patents on it. The patent is based on findings of three scientists from the Department of Health and Human Services. They summarized their findings submitted with the patent application as neuroprotectants, for example in limiting neurological damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke or trauma. In addition, it treats neurological diseases, such as Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and HIV dementia.

They confirm that it can help in treating various forms of cancer. It was widely used in Chinese medicine and in Hindu texts cannabis was referred to as ‘sacred grass.’

Cannabis reduces pain and can effectively replace unhealthy medicine.

Dr. Sanchez’s studies enhance the findings of the medicinal use of cannabis.
