The 15-year old Nickolas Conrad was the victim attending the sleepover with his friends. So, instead of having a good time he experienced a terrible pain in his neck while sleeping.He was awakened by the terrible pain, and at first, he wasn’t sure what the pain was. He felt really bad burning on his neck and which according to him was the worst pain of his life.The Hot Water Challenge – What does it mean?
That is one of the recent Internet challenges, which involves someone drinking of boiling water or throwing the water on an innocent person.
This is exactly what happened to Nickolas when the other boys at the sleepover had thrown hot water on him during the sleeping and he “gained” the first and second-degree burns.
After that happened those guys were not Conrad’s friends anymore and they’re not going to be, as he spoke to his classmates who helped him.
His mother, Mickey, was very angry at the incident and for good reason.
At the beginning, she thought it had been an accident, but later she found out it was deliberate, which hardly concerned the parents. She emphasized that the children should be educated not to be involved in such unpleasant challenge like this one.
She was also surprised that no charges have been filed against the children, and about the adults that were home, sleeping during the event and had no idea what went on.
As that was not alone unpleasant case as a result of the “hot water challenge”, the authorities of the schools have started to take it more seriously, than it was treated before.
Despite the fact that it can be hard to let your kids out into the world, there are several ways that you can prepare them how to react in some similar situation and be as safe as possible:
