Baking soda is an inexpensive ingredient that can help you successfully treat various skin issues and help you heal your cracked heels. You will need:

  • 3 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 4 liters/135 oz of water

Just pour the baking soda in hot water in order to dissolve it and soak your feet in the solution. Keep the soaked for 15-20 minutes. Once you feel that the feet have softened well, use a foot scrub or a pumice stone to exfoliate them. Rinse with warm water and dry them well. Apply a moisturizing agent, Vaseline or homemade foot cream and put on cotton socks. The best time to perform this procedure would be before you go to bed so the cream can act overnight.
